Perth Royals FC Welcome Jayden Richards as First Team Coach for 2026

Perth Royals FC are excited to welcome Jayden "Fizz" Richards as our new First Team Coach ahead of the 2026 season.

Jayden joins the Royals bringing a huge amount of experience from his time at Western AFC in Christchurch, New Zealand, both as a player and a coach.

As a player, Jayden spent 17 seasons at Western AFC, racking up 85 First Team caps and earning a strong reputation as a leader with a great football brain.

Moving into coaching. Jayden spent three years coaching the Western AFC Reserve Team, leading them to a Reserve League title, before stepping up into the First Team setup as Assistant Manager for three seasons. During that time, he played a key role in the team’s Canterbury Championship League win.

Jayden now brings his passion, experience and winning mindset to Perth Royals FC, and we’re looking forward to seeing him lead the First Team into 2026 and beyond.

Welcome to the Royals Coach Fizz!
